I’ve recently had the chance to read through a new book on AngularJS its called “Mastering Web Application Development with Angularjs” and its by Pawel Kozlowski and Peter Bacon Darwin.
I’ll be honest I haven’t looked up any current publications on Angularjs so i couldn’t say how this compares to others.Comparing to what I know though this seems like an excellent book. It covers the basics of angularjs and its innerworkings of things like the digest cycle and upwards to I’d say an intermediate level of knowledge. If you are looking to get started in angularjs I think referencing the angularjs documentation and then filling in the gaps with this book or some video tutorials from egghead.io is a great way to get up to speed.
I was particularly impressed with the section on promises and translations as these are something I haven’t delved into to deeply and it really gave me some understanding on how to approach certain problems.
I haven’t read through the entire book but some of the chapters where i’ve skimmed through the code examples have given me some things to think about already in my current implementations. Enough for me to want to go back to those chapters and give it my full attention.
So definitely a book worth noting, check it out when you get a chance!
